Anyone carrying a firearm for self defense needs to know how to safely and efficiently draw it from a holster. Safe techniques and methods are taught in this class with live fire practice. Outside the waistband holsters are required for this class, some loaner holsters are available, but you must confirm weapon type before the class.
NOTE: please ask advice from us when choosing holsters. In our training classes re-holstering a loaded weapon is often required so the holster you choose must be able to retain its shape to accommodate the weapon without using the support hand to re-holster. Additionally, if you are using a striker fired weapon thumb snaps are not recommended as they have resulted in accidental discharges in the past, this will be a case by case basis. This does not mean the holster you have is unsuitable for daily carry, it just means it may not be a safe holster for training purposes and we could provide a loaner for this class.
As with any newly learned skill if it is not practiced then it can not fully be mastered, our intention is to allow students who complete this class the ability to practice this skill live fire at certain scheduled times on a designated range.
